Delta Pi Epsilon was founded in 1936 at New York University as a national graduate honorary society for male and female business professionals. University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire professor Lorraine Missling founded the Beta Sigma Chapter in the 1970s. The chapter was quite active from 1984-1994, sponsoring speakers and programs and inducting new members. Activity declined in the mid 1990s; the chapter seems to have become defunct in 1997.
