Cooper, Elizabeth Morgan, 1891-1967.
Mathematician and educator (Radcliffe, B.A., 1913; Bryn Mawr, M.A.; University of Illinois, Ph.D.), Cooper also read mathematics at Newnham College, Cambridge University, 1924-1925. She taught math in secondary schools, was principal of the Buckingham School in Cambridge, MA, supervisor of mathematics and teacher training at Hunter College, chairman of the math dept. at Hunter College High School, and taught math and teacher training at Syracuse University. Cooper was active in the American Friends Service Committee.
