New Mexico Conference on Aging.
The New Mexico Conference on Aging was organized in 1959 when the state received federal funds to prepare a report for an upcoming White House Conference on Aging. The state organization was charged with evaluating the existing situation regarding the aged and problems of aging in New Mexico. The New Mexico Department of Public Welfare administered the federally required surveys and local conferences that contributed to the state report.
