Minnesota and Dakota Northern Railroad Company.
The company, incorporated in 1879, built a rail line from Moorhead north to Halstad, paralleling the Red River of the North. It was acquired by GN's predecessor, the St. Paul, Minneapolis and Manitoba Railway, in 1883.
