Whiting, John, 1681/82-1752.
The Reverend John Whiting (1681/82-1752) graduated from Harvard in 1700 and served as college librarian and tutor until 1711, when he accepted the ministry in Concord, Massachusetts. He remained in that position until 1737 when his opposition to the Great Awakening led to his dismissal.
