Latimer family.
Joseph A. Latimer was a corporal in the 83rd Illinois Infantry Regment and Thomas P. Latimer was a private in the 55th Illinois Infantry Regiment during the United States (U.S.) Civil War. Robert E. Latimer was a cadet in the Reserve Officers Training Corps program (ROTC), University of Iowa; 1st lieutenant, 29th U.S. Engineer Training Battalion; and a captain in the 1138th U.S. Engineer Combat Group during World War II (WWII).
