LeRoy E. Lyon, Jr. was born in Orange County, California, educated at the University of Southern California and served in the military during World War II and at the truce talks of the Korean War. In the late 1940's and early 1950's Mr. Lyon became active in Young Republicans and worked in Richard M. Nixon's 1950 campaign for the U.S. Senate. He served as California Assemblyman from 1953 to 1955. From 1955 to 1976 he was a lobbyist for the California Railroad Association. Since 1976 he has worked as a contract lobbyist in Sacramento.
