Immanuel Lutheran Church (Joplin, Mont.)

Hide Profile

Immanuel Lutheran Church is an open country congregation organized by Rev. Merrill Gilbertson in 1943. A modest sanctuary was erected, to which was later added an expanded basement. The congregation was affiliated with Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Chester and Bethel Lutheran of Joplin until 1955, when it formed a parish with Bethel alone, in which relationship it continues to this day.
