George Norwood, a planter and miller of East Feliciana Parish, was born in 1847, son of Lemuel Hodge and Eliza J. (Winter) Norwood. He resided near Clinton La. and served on the police jury of the seventh ward of East Feliciana Parish for many years. He married Stella Currie, daughter of Malcolm M. Currie, a planter and former senator from Franklin County, Miss.
