Stimmel, Smith

Smith Stimmel was born Dec. 17, 1842 in Franklin County, Ohio. During the Civil War he served in the 85th Ohio Volunteer Infantry and later President Lincoln's bodyguard. He moved to Fargo, Dakota Territory in 1882 and died there in 1935.
