Beatty family.
Charles Clinton Beatty (1712?-1782) emigrated from Ireland; pioneer Presbyterian missionary to Native Americans; married Anne Reading in 1746, had ten children; the eldest, John, a doctor, served in the Continental Army, and as a member of the Continental Congress and as Congressman from New Jersey.
