Whitby, Thomas Porter, 1845-1922.
Whitby enlisted in Company D, 37th Alabama Infantry in 1862, serving with it until the end of the Civil War. Afterwards, he studied then practiced dentistry in the Alabama towns of Auburn, Wetumpka, and Selma.
