The Curriculum Committee was established by the Faculty of Medicine in 1949 to give continuous study to the curriculum. In 1973 the responsibilities of the Committee were expanded to include the supervision of the implementation of such changes or new programs as may be voted by the Faculty of Medicine. In 1996 the Committee became one of several committees administered by the Program in Medical Education.
