Chamber of Commerce (Auburn, N.Y.)
William Henry Seward, 1801-1872, as Secretary of State, purchased Alaska for the United States from Russia in 1867. Seward was born in Florida, Orange County, New York, but spent most of his life in Auburn, New York.
