Kerr, Rose Netzorg (1892-1974) was born in Mecosta, Michigan May 9, 1892, daughter of Isaac and Anna (Bendetson) Netzorg. Received her degree in education from Western State Normal School in 1910. Head of the Art Department, Western State Normal School from 1912-1922. On June 24, 1922 she married James Wilfred Kerr, a painter and lecturer. In 1951 she was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. She died May 15, 1974 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
