Hall, J. D. (John D.)
J.D. Hall, a native of New York, was a gold miner in California. After moving from Goodyears Bar to Port Wine, in Sierra County, he took over the "Hoosier Flume" upon the death of a previous owner. He was apparently separated or divorced from his wife.
