Virginia. Auditor of Public Accounts. Board of Western Commissioners.
The Board of Western Commissioners was appointed by the Governor's council on 20 July 1781 to settle the expenses incurred arising from the military conquest of the "Western Country," (i. e. Kentucky, Ohio, and Illinois). The Board presented their findings on 1 July 1783 and disbanded.
