Hide Profile

Evelyn Norton Anderson (1926-1991) was a Houston-based clothing and costume designer. While she created children's clothes both at the beginning and at the end of her career, she is best known for theatrical costumery and career and sports facility uniforms.

Anderson worked for the Casa Manana Theatre in Fort Worth for nine years, and also provided both original and rented stock costumes for theaters in Houston and around the country. Her stage designs were seen on performers across the United States, including Howard Keel and Jane Powell.

Anderson was talented at creating unified-theme uniforms for businesses, including restaurants, hotels, and sports facilities. This collection contains uniform designs for the cowboy-themed Colt 45 stadium in Houston as well as its successor, the space-themed Astrodome.
