McHugh, Pete, Supervisor.
County Supervisor Pete McHugh was born in Boston, Massachusetts and attended Boston University and University of California at Los Angeles, receiving a degree in Business Administration.
He worked for thirty years with IBM Corporation in the accounting and software development areas. He served as a city council member and mayor of Milpitas from 1976 to 1996. He then served as a Santa Clara County Supervisor for District 3 from 1997 to 2009. McHugh was elected in November, 2008 to serve as Milpitas' vice mayor until 2012.
