Calhoun, John William, 1871-1947.
John William Calhoun (1871-1947) was a teacher and administrator at the University of Texas, serving as professor of mathematics, comptroller, and president ad interim. He was instrumental in the planting of trees on campus, oil production on university lands, university investments, as well as the construction of new university buildings.
