Lovett, Robert Watkins, 1818-1912.
Robert Watkins Lovett, physician and clergyman, was born 11 November 1818, in Screven County, Georgia, and died there 3 July 1912. He was educated at the Georgia Conference Manual Labor School (1838; Covington), Emory College (1839-1843), and the Medical College (1844; Augusta). He practiced medicine and also served as an itinerant Methodist clergyman with the Georgia Conference. He married three times and had seven children. Each of his wives had a sister who married his friend Judge Thomas Molloy Meriwether.
