Beacham, Frank
Born, 1949, in Honea Path, S.C.; graduate, 1969, University of South Carolina; staff reporter, United Press International, Miami Herald, Gannett, and Post-Newsweek; founder, Television Matrix production company; as a young reporter, Beacham covered the Orangeburg Massacre (8 Feb. 1968), when law enforcement officers fired on African American student protestors from S.C. State University and Claflin College, killing 3 and injuring 27.
