Ball Corporation
Ball Corporation had its beginning in 1880 in Buffalo, New York, moved to Muncie, Indiana in 1887, and expanded its market from glass food jars to include metal beverage containers in the late 1960s and high barrier plastic food packaging in the late 1970s. Its international corporate headquarters at 345 South High St. was dedicated on April 22, 1976.

Founded in 1886 as Ball Brothers Glass Manufacturing Company. In 1969 the name of the Ball Brothers Company, inc. was changed to Ball Corporation. Manufacturer of electronic components; measuring and detecting devices; reconnaissance systems.
