The Joint Legislative Committee on Mental and Physical Handicap succeeds former Joint Legislative Committees on Mental Retardation and Physical Handicap, with scope extended to include investigation and study of all kinds and forms of mental and physical handicap, and social, educational, economic, mental and physical problems. Senator William T. Conklin was the Chairman, 1963-1969 and Senator Dalwin J. Niles was Chairman, 1969-1972.
