Photographer and journalist Georgia (Shuset) Litwack graduated from the University of Pittsburgh (A.B. 1942) and worked for International News Service and United Press (1942-1946). In 1945 she married attorney John Litwack; they had two daughters. Moving to Newton, Mass., Litwack worked in public relations for the Children's Museum and the Museum of Science in Boston, and founded the photography program at the DeCordova Museum of Art School in Lincoln, Mass. She studied photography with Minor White at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and taught and lectured throughout the greater Boston area. Her work is part of the collections of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Princeton Museum of Art, among others, and she has exhibited and published widely. She was the co-author of Born Early (1983).
