The Icons of American Photography Collection was established in 2011 by the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History to catalog iconic American photography collected by the institution. In contrast to traditional archival collections, the collection consists of individual photographs by photographers. The collection will continue to expand over time with incoming accessions.
