Ethel Bushnell, Waring 1887-1972.
Professor of home economics, Cornell University.
In 1927 Ethel Waring came to Cornell as professor of home economics in what was then the Department of Family Life. In 1945 the name was changed to the Department of Child Development and Family Relationships. This department is now called Human Development and Family Studies. Her greatest interest was in child guidance. She wrote six Cornell Extension bulletins, published two books, and was a consulting editor for PARENTS Magazine and other child-parent related publications.
