Cubides, Currea (Hernando Currea), 1919-
Hernando Currea Cubides (b. Dec. 7, 1919, Bogota, Colombia), Colombian Army officer and politician, was Chief of Staff and Commander of the Army in 1968 and became Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces in 1969. He later served as Minister of National Defense from 1970 to 1974, and as Ambassador to Portugal from 1975 to 1979.
