Lillie D. Blake was a suffragist, writer, women's rights advocate and president of New York City's Woman Suffrage League. Katherine D. Blake was a suffragist, teacher, leader in The National Education Association, ERA activist, advocate for progressive and women's education and peace movement. She was also New York State Chair of Women's International League for Peace and Freedom.
