Robb, Thomas Patton, 1819-1895.
Resident of Chicago, Illinois who was appointed adjutant general and general inspector of the Illinois Volunteers by Governor Yates, and after meeting Captain Ulysses S. Grant was appointed to his staff after he was made a general. After the war was appointed, by Grant, as Collector of Customs at Savannah. Was appointed chairman of the delegation sent to adjust the government claims against Mexico. President of the Corpus Christi and Rio Grande Rail Road. Delegate to several Republican National Conventions. Moved to California and remained active in politics there.
