Luella Gettys Key

Luella Gettys graduated from Bryn Mawr College and in 1925 received her Ph.D in political science from the University of Illinois, where she was a Carnegie Fellow in International Law. Her thesis, a copy of which is in the collection, was on The Effect of Changes of Sovereignty on Nationality . In 1934 LGK published a book, The Law of Citizenship ; most of the material in this collection concerns the content, publication, royalties, sales and reviews of this book. In about 1936 LGK married V.O. Key. Also during this period LGK worked for the Social Science Research Council in Washington, D.C.
