Hilda Roberts was a professor of Nursing at Washington State University from 1940-1976. During her tenure, she was appointed as the Director of the Intercollegiate Center for Nursing Education. In addition she introduced numerous classes including cour ses ranging from the Introduction to Nursing to Graduate Level Practicums. Some of the later classes were held in Spokane, these targeting the re-entry students. Ms. Roberts was also an active participant in the Washington/Alaska Regional Medical Program (W/ARMP). This organization encompassed a number of medical facilities and private practices in the Washington and Alaska areas Ms. Roberts also held an appointment on the W/ARMP Nurses Advisory Committee from 1969-1972. While involved with the W/ARMP, Ms . Roberts tackled issues related to kidney center research grant applications and to renovation of existing facilities.
