Ribush, Dolia, 1896-1947.

Dolia Ribush was a theatrical producer and businessman. Born in Libau in Latvia, he received his early theatrical training in Moscow under Stanislavsky. In 1928 Ribush and his wife settled in Australia. In Melbourne he set up Bush's Confectionery Pty. Ltd. as well as continuing his theatrical interests. During the 1930's and 1940's Ribush was highly regarded as a producer, particularly as a result of his success with The Cherry Orchard, Lower Depths and Ned Kelly.
