Bertram Benedict (1891-1978) was a journalist and writer during the twentieth century. Born in Baltimore, Maryland and educated at Johns Hopkins University, Benedict started his journalistic career in 1929 as a writer for Editorial Research Reports, a Washington D.C. information service which covered national and international politics. From 1944 to 1959, he was a part-owner of Editorial Research Reports. Benedict was also the author of several historical works, including "A History of the Great War" (1919) and "The Larger Socialism" (1921).
