Redesdale, John Mitford, Baron, 1748-1830
Variant namesJohn Mitford was appointed soliciter general in 1793 and attorney general in 1799; in 1802 he was raised to the peerage as Baron Redesdale and made a member of the Privy Council in Ireland.
