Monteith, James Waters, 1919-1944
A Lowmoor, Va., native who was raised in Richmond and attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, James Waters Monteith joined the United States Army and was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery on Normandy Beach.
