Borovansky, Xenia, 1903-1985.
Born in Moscow, Xenia Borovansky (nee Xenia Nicoleva Smirnova) trained privately as a dancer in her home city. She married Edouard Borovansky in 1933 and they came to Australia during the Covent Garden Russian Ballet tour of 1938-1939. At the conclusion of the tour the Borovanskys remained in Australia and established a ballet school, Borovansky's Ballet Academy, in Melbourne in 1939.
