"Montgomery Township is a township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. According to the 2010 census, the population is 24,790 and the housing total is 9,467. [The] township is the location of the Montgomery Mall, a small regional shopping mall serving the Route 309 corridor of the Philadelphia suburbs. Much of Montgomery Township's development is suburban in character, with newer tract houses and strip shopping centers. Montgomery Township is in the North Penn school district."

Montgomery Township, on the eastern edge of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, was settled by Welsh immigrants in the 1680s and formally established in 1714. It was primarily a farming community for most of the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries.
