Jones, David Hugh, 1900-1983
Variant namesDavid Hugh Jones of Prysau Bychain, Llanuwchllyn in Merioneth earned his living as a peddler. He was hoping to attend university, ca. 1935, but it is not known if he achieved this. Judging by the letters in this collection, he was an articulate and gifted writer with a slightly eccentric personality. It seems he had a troubled relationship with some of his neighbours at Llanuwchllyn, whom he accused of relentlessly continuous and mentally destructive persecutions .
