Charles Minot Dole was a United States (U.S.) military officer who played a role in the creation of the U.S. Mountain Division, 10th and later became the civilian president of the National Ski Patrol.

Founder of the National Ski Patrol. Persuaded the War Department to establish the 87th Infantry Mountain Division, later it was expanded into the 10th Mountain Division. Headed recruitment efforts for the Division. Active member of the National Association of the 10th Mountain Division. Born 1899, Tyngsboro, Massachusetts. Worked as an insurance broker. Died March 14, 1976, Greenwich, Connecticut.
