Nugent's most notable work is the Broadway play, THE MALE ANIMAL (1941) co-written with James Thurber. His screenwriting creits include: WHISTLING IN THE DARK, THE MALE ANIMAL and SHE'S WORKING HER WAY THROUGH COLLEGE. His film credits include a lead role in THE VOICE OF THE TURTLE, as well as co-producer of THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH. Nugent died on August 9, 1980.
