Hoyt, David, 1722-1814.
David Hoyt (1722-1814), known as "Landlord Hoyt," owned and occupied the "Old Indian House" in Deerfield, Mass., where for many years he operated a tavern. His son, Elihu Hoyt (1771-1833), lived in this house with his father, and was for twenty-nine years voted a seat from Deerfield in either the Massachusetts House or Senate.
