David Michael Spindel (1941- ) is an American photographer. Born on August 31, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY, Spindel graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in 1964. Upon graduating, he worked for several different photography companies before opening his own commercial photography studio. Spindel is known for his photographs of baseball memorabilia and his images of John Lennon. He also creates photograph-based rebuses, which are essentially visual representations of words and phrases.
