Cogswell, Charles P., 1835-1912,
Charles P. Cogswell, the son of William H. Cogswell and his wife, Lucretia Payne, was born in Connecticut in November 1835. He served as president of the Second National Bank of Norwich, Connecticut, as well as a director of, and investor in, railroads and other businesses in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and other western territories. He and his wife Sarah had two daughters, Alice (b. 1865) and Amy (b. 1867). Charles P. Cogswell died on March 13, 1912.
