Variant namesSeaman. Second in command of the French corvette Naturaliste on voyage to Australia, 1800-1802. Landed sick in Sydney 1802. Sailed from Sydney on American ship Arthur for China, thence for France 1803 on La Diane. Appointed to command the Geographe, 1803 Sept., returned to L'Orient 1804.
