Hide Profile

John Wiley, whose name appears on leaf 74 of this volume as a landlord renting houses in 1856 and 1857, earlier did millwright and carpentry work. His wife died in May 1837 (leaf 31), but he married again before April 1842 (leaf 56). Besides the above, he had pasture land available for rent. The last pages of this book show he procured leather hides for Williamson & Kent, and for George W. Miller. This account book was almost surely kept in Chester County, Pennsylvania, possibly in East Nottingham or Sadsbury.
