Ayusawa, Iwao, 1894-1972
Variant namesIwao F. Ayusawa, international labor specialist, Friend, was a graduate of Haverford College (1917) and Columbia University (1920). He worked for the International Labour Organisation (ILO) for many years, first in Geneva, Switzerland and later as director of ILO's Tokyo branch office. After WWII he served on Japan's Central Labor Relations Board. In 1952 he joined the International Christian University in Tokyo (Kokusai Kirisutokyō Daigaku) as Professor of Labor. The author of many publications, he wrote "A history of labor in modern Japan" (1966). He was a member of Japan Yearly Meeting of Friends.
