Dorothy M. Taylor, educational and evangelistic missionary to Japan for the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. and the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A., from 1949 to 1973.

From summer 1950 to summer 1951, Taylor studied Japanese in Kyoto, Japan, and taught an English Bible class at Rakutoo Church in Kyoto. Transferred to Hokusei Gakuen, a private Christian junior-senior high school and junior college for girls, in Sapporo, Japan, she taught English and Bible classes.
