Bell Aerospace Textron
Variant namesFounded 10 July 1935 by Lawrence D. Bell as the Bell Aircraft Corp. On 2 July 1960 Textron purchased Bell Aircraft and renamed the corporation Bell Aerosystems Co., a part of Bell Aerospace Corp., a division of Textron. On 3 Jan. 1970 the Bell Aerosystems portion of the name was dropped and the company was known from then on as Bell Aerospace Textron.
