Kingsbury, James Wilkinson, 1801-1853.
James William Kingsbury (1801-1853), son of Gen. Jacob and Sarah Palmer Ellis Kingsbury, graduated from West Point in 1823 and served in the Black Hawk War. In 1825 he accompanied Gen. Atkinson on an expedition to the Upper Missouri to make treaties with the Indians.
